If you’re a fan of Millisime Imperial and wear if frequently like I do, then this soap and aftershave is what you need to bring it all together. The scent is nearly identical to MI. The scent profile is perfect. The projection on the aftershave is a respectable 3+ hours. If you’ve been wet shaving for some time now, then you know the Kaizen base is fantastic- great performance, slickness and post shave feel.
As soon as purchased the set and tried it at home, I instantly ordered a back up scent!

The Kaizen based lathered beautifully and performed great. I have six shaving soaps from Sphinx Beard, three are great and among my favorites, this one is not one of them. It is not that it is bad but to my nose the scent ,while interesting, was on the light side. To be fair, most shaving soaps are on the light side to my nose but Smolder, Spartan, and Ancient Kingdom all come through loud and clear. I always look forward to my next purchase from Sphinx Beard.
